Looking Back at 2024

I haven't posted much in 2024, because my personal commitments demanded a lot of my attention, leaving less time for Blender-related projects than I'd hoped. While I managed to get some work done on my addons (189 commits across 21 repositories), I couldn't release new versions of my addons or upload videos to my YouTube channel (except for the annual April Fools' video).
Despite my limited time, my friends at Pidgeon Tools kept the momentum going, working hard on Pidgeon Tool Bag (check it out) and sharing new videos on the Pidgeon Tools YouTube channel.

My Blender-related highlight in 2024 was the release of Blender 4.2, featuring the long-awaited extensions system. To make addon installation and updates simpler, I launched a dedicated extensions repository for all of my addons: https://extensions.blender-defender.com

Additionally, Gizmodal Ops is now available on Blender's official extensions platform (check it out here) and received an incredible 5000 downloads within just two months — thank you for your amazing support!

Looking Ahead to 2025

While life remains busy, I'm hopeful for what 2025 holds. My primary goal is to organize and update my addons, address reported GitHub issues, and evaluate the future of some of my addons that may have become obsolete, given how Blender has evolved.
If time allows, I'd love to breathe new life into my YouTube channel by creating fresh content, experimenting with new formats, and re-uploading older videos with better quality.
